Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Utilizes
Realstar Solutions for Officer Photo ID Badges
Realstar Solutions was called upon to provide the Cherokee County Sheriffs Office with a Photo ID system that would create a unique badge for the officers. They wanted a card that was different and could be detected from a great distance. In addition to a unique card, they also required a technology that would enable the officers and the public to determine the authenticity of the badge.
Realstar Solutions installed the Fargo Electronics HDP 820 badge printer that would enable the department to print a larger size card than most all other facilities. The oversized, CR-100 card enables more room for a larger, more recognizable picture as well as additional security features to help avoid duplication and misrepresentation.
Episuite software was also installed to present the department with a seamless ID customization process as well as the capability to create a database for all 100 cards issued. Episuite Photo ID software also features a database tool for keeping information on each officer that can be used later for research. The Episuite software also features a Report tool that can be customized for reports of all variations.
“We were quite relieved when Kevin Cain of Realstar Solutions gave us a very informative and entertaining demonstration of the products that Realstar offered to meet our requirements”, stated B.J. Free, IT Director for the sheriff’s department. “It gave us a real live look at the features and final product of the system he suggested and after doing our research, the system was a perfect fit for what we wanted to achieve. After the decision to purchase the complete system, Realstar came out to do the installation and set up, including a very thorough training program on the system all in one afternoon. We found this to be very impressive especially in today’s world in which customer service and support are lacking greatly.”
